Down Memory Lane
After we checked into our room at the Napoléon and took a nap, me and my parents started to walk around in Paris. One of the places we wandered into was the courtyard of the Louvre.
We returned the next day while on a tour and learned more about the the place. The Louvre was originally a military fortress, then a royal palace, and now an art museum. There are several references in the architecture to the mythical figure of Diana. This is because the palace, or at least some of its rooms, were dedicated to one of the King's favorite mistresses.
I wanted this painting to feel like a distant memory, foggy with the passing time.
