Art and Healing in the Time of the Pandemic
My painting of the Louvre was accepted into an online art exhibition. The artists participating had to share something in response to this quote by Albert Camus:
“In the midst of hate, I found there was, within me, an invincible love. In the midst of tears, I found there was, within me, an invincible smile.
In the midst of chaos, I found there was, within me, an invincible calm.
I realized, through it all, that in the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer. And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger – something better, pushing right back.”Deanna Sirlin is the curator for this exhibit and it can be viewed here: https://www.sirlinstudio.com/art-and-healing-in-the-time-of-the-pandemic-i
Mix it Up!
My collage Two Sides of the Same Coin was accepted into the local art show, Mix it Up, at the Alpharetta Arts Center. Mix it Up is an exhibit dedicated to mixed media works. It has been hanging since September 21st and will be there until December 4th. This is the first art show I have participated in outside of school.
